Klibur Domin is a Timorese NGO based in Tibar, Timor-Leste, about 17 km from the capital Dili. Klibur Domin has three main programs: the Inpatients Program, providing care for low needs patients; the Community Based Rehabilitation program, which supports children and adults with disability and provides respite care and access to education; and the Tuberculosis (TB) Program, which provides care for patients with both TB and Multi-Drug Resistant

These programs include an inpatient program for those recovering from illnesses or injuries, a mobile TB team to diagnose and treat those with tuberculosis in the community, and a dental clinic to provide dental treatment and oral health education.

Project Updates

  • In 2019, 2,426 outpatients attended our medical clinic / 254 People used Klibur Domin’s emergency transport services including / 70 Pregnancies / 120 Injuries / 36 Asthmatics / 28 other emergencies
  • 248 inpatients at Klibur Domin received care including 198 TB Patients, 15 MDR-TB Patients, 26 patients with physical disabilities, 12 with a mental disability and 6 who were receiving Dialysis at the national hospital
  • 172 cases of Tuberculosis were identified by Klibur Domin’s TB Lab from 1,832 GeneXpert tests
  • 74 people with a disability were supported by our Community Based Rehabilitation program including 5 Students in our education program
  • There were 1,369 visits to the Klibur Domin dental clinic and 783 children had dental check-ups and treatment at schools
  • 5 students with a disability were studying in high school with one student graduating at the end of 2019.
